Until 2025, Danish badminton fans can follow on TV 2 Sport and TV 2 Play, when, for example, Viktor Axelsen, Anders Antonsen and Mia Blichfeldt turn out with the national Flag of Denmark on their chest. This is clear after TV 2 Sport and Badminton Denmark have extended their agreement.
Danish badminton fans can easily continue to “tune in” on TV 2 Sport and TV 2 Play when they want to watch badminton from, among others, Victor Denmark Open, the Danish National Championships RSL DM and RSL Final 4. Badminton Denmark and TV 2 Sport have extended the agreement, which makes it possible to broadcast world-class badminton in Denmark.
“It is really good for the sport that we have extended the agreement with TV 2 Sport until 2025. TV 2 Sport has proven that they are committed to working with us to develop new and exciting ways to watch and experience badminton. The development, where together we make the sport of badminton even more exciting and interesting for the many fans, TV viewers, streamers and users, we must continue, and we are convinced that we can succeed together,” says Bo Jensen, director of the Badminton Denmark.
TV 2 also expresses joy at having extended the agreement with Badminton Denmark. “We are very pleased to have extended this partnership. Badminton has been a core right for us since the birth of TV 2 Sport, and we are therefore naturally pleased with how well the Danish players are doing both in the world and at home. I have high expectations that in the coming rights period we can further develop the sport as a product on TV 2 Sport and TV 2 Play for the benefit of the many Danish badminton fans,” says Frederik Lauesen, sports manager of the TV 2.
The agreement is valid from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2025 and contains the following tournaments: Victor Denmark Open, RSL DM and RSL Final 4.
